Biography
He is a 1994 graduate of Walterboro High School in Walterboro, SC. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and his Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
He has over 21 years of experience working on several college campuses in various information technology roles. His former places of employment include Benedict College and University of North Carolina – Charlotte. He is currently the Director of Information Technology for the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina – Columbia.
Bro. Holmes is a member of First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. He is also a 29-year member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He was initiated into the Kappa Iota Chapter (USC – Columbia), and he is currently an active member of the Beta Chi Sigma Chapter (Columbia, SC). He has served on various executive boards and committees during his years as a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Bro. Holmes is a member of several masonic auxiliaries and served on many district and Grand Lodge committees over the years.
In 2022, at the 154th Grand Lodge Session, in Columbia, SC, Bro. Holmes was elected as the 12th Right Worshipful Grand Secretary of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons for the State of South Carolina.
In his free time, Bro. Holmes enjoys reading about different cultures, playing golf, and fellowship with friends. While he is blessed to have a fulfilling and fruitful life, he lives by a specific bible verse that was instilled in him since he was a little boy: MATTHEW 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.
